Subscription & Connection FAQs
Find answers by where the issue occurs: your account, client, route, or order. Check the current status before changing settings, and avoid changing several things at once so you can identify the cause.
Account & Subscription
For account setup, configuration imports, and switching devices. Keep your account details and subscription link safe.
What information do I need to create an account, and how should I keep my login details safe?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your username somewhere safe and store your password in a password manager; never put it in public notes or post it in a discussion forum. Logging in to your account and connecting through a client are separate steps—a route appearing in the client does not mean you are logged in to the user panel. If you cannot log in, check your keyboard input, letter case, and any extra spaces added when copying, then make sure you are using the right account. If you still need help, open a ticket in the user panel and describe the message you see. Do not include your password.
Where can I find my subscription link, and do I need to import it again after an update?
Log in to the user panel, find the subscription link in your account overview, and import it using a method supported by your client. The link provides your route configuration, so treat it like account information and never share it publicly. To refresh your routes, update the subscription or configuration in the client first. Check for a success message, then revisit the route list. If the subscription link in the panel has changed, import the link currently shown there and make sure the client is using the new configuration. Refreshing the browser page alone does not update the client.
Do I need a different plan if I get a new computer or add a device?
There is no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time, so changing devices alone does not require a different plan. VPNLet supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. On your new device, use the download section in the user panel, follow the instructions for your platform, and import your subscription. The device limit and data allowance are separate; check your account’s usage records. When you stop using an old device, remove its subscription configuration. If you pass it on to someone else, clear account information saved in the browser and client as well.
What is the difference between a client and a subscription, and why do I need to import one after downloading the client?
The client reads configuration, lets you choose a route, and establishes the connection. The subscription provides the route configurations available to your account. Installing the client only means the software is ready; you will usually also need to import your subscription, select the active configuration, and grant any network permissions required by your system. Download clients only from the user panel, not from file-sharing links of unknown origin. If the route list is still empty after importing, check the subscription update message and your plan status rather than reinstalling the software repeatedly. Menu labels differ by platform; refer to the guides for steps that match your screen.
What should I do if a subscription update fails or I think my link has been exposed?
If an update fails, first check that your device is online. Then make sure the link is complete and the client has selected the right subscription. Extra line breaks, spaces, or missing characters can prevent an update. Never post a screenshot containing the full subscription link in a public place. If you think the link has been exposed, check the user panel for an option to reset it and follow the on-screen instructions. If you cannot find one, submit a ticket. After replacing the link, update it on your other devices too so they do not keep using the old configuration.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Check in order: your local network, account status, client configuration, and target app. Change only one setting at a time.
I imported my subscription but cannot connect. What should I check first?
Disconnect the client and check whether ordinary websites load. This helps distinguish a local network issue from a route problem. Then check your plan status and remaining data in the user panel, and confirm that the subscription updated successfully and the current configuration is enabled in the client. When you reconnect, test one route first, then compare it with routes in other regions. Avoid changing the route, mode, and system settings all at once. If every route fails, check system network permissions and look for conflicts with other proxy software. When submitting a ticket, include the client name, operating system, error message, and steps you have already tried.
Why can I browse the web, but a particular app will not use the proxy?
A browser working normally does not mean other apps use the same network settings. Some apps do not use the system proxy; rules may route some requests directly, or the client may need to support traffic capture mode. Check whether the app has its own proxy settings, then review the client’s connection log to see whether its requests use the expected route. Before switching modes, read the client’s instructions. After making a change, restart the app and test again. If the request reaches the service but is still rejected, check the service’s own regional and account requirements.
Should I use rule mode or global mode?
Rule mode uses your current configuration to decide whether requests go through the proxy or connect directly. It works well for everyday use when you want different sites to take different routes. Global mode usually sends traffic captured by the client through the selected route. It can help with temporary comparisons, but it does not mean every app will automatically be captured. If a site is acting up, switch modes if your client supports it, and test again using the same route. If the issue clears, check how the rules match the site rather than assuming the route is faulty. When you are done testing, switch back to the mode that suits your needs.
How can I restore a connection after my device sleeps or switches networks?
After a device wakes from sleep or switches from a home network to another connection, the existing session may need to be re-established. First check that the new network can access ordinary websites. Then disconnect and reconnect in the client, and make sure the intended route and configuration are still selected. If the network requires a web-based sign-in, complete that step first. Do not keep updating the subscription while the underlying network is still down. If reconnecting does not help, restart the app and test again. Note whether the problem only occurs on a particular network so support can distinguish a local issue from a route issue.
What information should I include in a connection troubleshooting ticket?
Open a ticket from the user panel. Include your device’s operating system, client name, network environment, selected region and route type, and the step where the error occurs. Specify whether the problem is a failed subscription update, a client that will not connect, a website that will not load, or an error in a particular app. Mention whether other routes work. Before sharing a screenshot, cover your password, the full subscription link, and other sensitive account details. Describe the exact message you see rather than simply saying it does not work. Keep your before-and-after test results in the ticket to avoid repeating checks you have already completed.
Speed & Routes
Consider the route name, exit region, and what you need to do. Third-party services set their own account eligibility and content access rules.
How can I tell whether peak-hour slowdowns are caused by my network or the route?
Pause background tasks such as large downloads and cloud sync, then check whether ordinary websites are also slow on your local network. Keep the same service as your test target and compare other routes to see whether the slowdown affects only a particular region or route type. If another route works better, you can use the option that suits your current network. If everything is slow, check your local connection first. Peak-hour performance depends on your local connection, cross-border routing, and the target service’s load; one test does not predict long-term performance. When reporting an issue, include the time, target service, and comparison results.
How should I compare IEPL, relayed, and direct routes?
These terms describe how routes are arranged, not a speed ranking that applies to every situation. An IEPL route typically uses a dedicated transmission path, a relayed route passes through an intermediate node, and a direct route uses a more direct connection method. Actual performance also depends on your local carrier, destination region, and the target service. Compare routes on your own device and network using the same task. Check whether the connection lasts and responses remain consistent instead of relying on the route name alone. The routes available to your account are shown in the client after an update. For more context, see the route information and buying guide.
How broad is the coverage, and should I always choose the closest region?
VPNLet covers 110+ countries / 170+ routes. This indicates the available range of regions and routes; it does not mean every exit works with every service. Distance can help narrow your options, but cross-border traffic does not always follow the shortest path on a map. A service’s regional requirements can also affect your choice. For ordinary browsing, start by comparing nearby regions. For services with regional requirements, check their rules first. Avoid switching exits repeatedly during a session. If something goes wrong, note the current route and compare options using the same task.
Why do AI tools like ChatGPT say they are unavailable even when the page loads?
Network access and eligibility for a third-party service are separate requirements. A page loading only means some requests reached the service; access may still depend on region, account status, service policies, or request screening. Read the full message from the service, then check whether your selected exit region and client routing settings are as expected. To troubleshoot, keep the account and route conditions consistent instead of repeatedly switching regions. VPNLet provides access to international routes; it cannot grant eligibility for third-party services or guarantee account verification or content access.
What should I do if a streaming service loads but shows different content or buffers?
Streaming catalogs and playback access depend on each platform’s regional, account, and licensing rules. A successful route connection does not guarantee access to a particular title. First check whether the message concerns content availability or a playback connection issue, then verify which exit the app is actually using. If playback buffers, pause background downloads and compare the same content over other routes to avoid mistaking a source-specific issue for a general outage. After switching routes, reopen the app to test; an existing session may retain its previous state. Route descriptions are for choosing a route only. Actual content availability is determined by the platform.

Billing & Refunds
Monthly plans and data add-ons use different billing models. Manage payments, plan changes, and refund requests in the user panel.
What are the monthly plan prices, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Use your typical browsing, video streaming, and file transfer needs to compare plans; data allowances are not speed tiers. After activating a plan, check its name, status, and usage records in the user panel before importing the subscription. If you have questions about the reset date, use the activation and billing period shown in your account as a reference. If the records do not match what you expect, submit a ticket with your order details and the message shown on the page.
How are data add-ons priced, and how do they compare with monthly plans?
Data add-ons are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data on the activation date; add-ons are better compared by cumulative usage, so the billing models differ. If your usage is irregular, check your existing data records to decide whether a monthly plan or a data add-on suits you better. Never expiring does not mean unlimited data. Do not assume how different plans combine; check the user panel for the rules on having multiple plans or switching between them.
How does a mid-term upgrade work? Is there an extra charge for switching devices?
For a mid-term monthly plan upgrade, the price difference is converted into the remaining days. Before proceeding, check the target plan and billing details in the user panel. Do not assume an upgrade starts a full new billing period or estimate the final amount from the plan prices. If you are unsure how the change will affect your account, ask through a ticket before proceeding. All plans allow unlimited devices online at the same time, so changing devices alone does not require a different plan. Keep track of your data through the records in the user panel. After changing plans, update the client subscription and check that the current configuration is still valid.
Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my status does not update after payment?
VPNLet supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Before paying, check the plan, amount, and payment method on your order, then follow the current instructions in the user panel. If your status has not updated after payment, check the order page first rather than paying again. Keep your order details and proof of payment, and use a ticket to describe the payment method and order status. Cover personal details that are not relevant to troubleshooting in any screenshots. Payment steps may vary by method; do not use the payment page or amount from another order for your current one.
How do I request a refund, and what information should I provide?
VPNLet offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund, log in to the user panel, open a ticket, and state that you would like a refund. Include your order details and current payment status so the team can find the transaction. If you are also having connection issues, you can describe them, but you do not need to keep changing client settings before submitting a request. Read the refund policy first to check eligibility and processing details. Updates will be provided through the ticket and order status. Do not post payment receipts, passwords, or subscription links in public comments, or assume a processing time based on another user’s experience.
